As the parent of four children, I learned quickly the budget goes down the tube when having to provide clothing and all the other essentials for children.

 I now am the grandmother of nine—and I’m still buying children’s clothes. When I take my older grands shopping, I tell them to head for the sale racks—don’t even think of the clothes with the high prices. They have learned well.

 When my granddaughter, Dorinda, was younger, she always convinced me that she absolutely had to have new shoes, hers were all worn out. I soon found that she had a shoe fetish at the tender age of four and five!

 Shelby and Ashley liked to shop for clothes, to heck with shoes for them. But they soon learned to shop well, too.
